Ah!! I too have thought of "a posse of saints" but in my usage, I spent some time identifying/listing "the posse of saints who rounded me up"... they rounded me up and hauled me in... St. Philip Neri was one of them. I wonder whether I wrote down the list anywhere after I made it; it was a while ago.

I know, tho, that it was because of his starring role in the excellent film The Dirty Dozen.
